How to Use

Important: Cosmelan® 2 is a professional-strength depigmenting treatment and is intended to be used as part of the Cosmelan® programme or under the guidance of a skincare professional. Always follow the treatment schedule recommended by your practitioner, as application frequency may vary depending on your stage of treatment.

Directions

  1. Cleanse your skin thoroughly and pat dry.
  2. Apply a small amount (approximately the size of a hazelnut) evenly over the entire face or to the areas advised by your skincare professional.
  3. Allow the cream to absorb completely.
  4. Follow with a soothing moisturiser if recommended, such as Melan Recovery, to help minimise dryness and irritation.
  5. During the day, finish with a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and reapply regularly, especially when outdoors. Strict sun protection is essential throughout treatment.

Frequency

  • Apply morning and evening, or as directed by your skincare professional.
  • During the full Cosmelan® protocol, the frequency may be adjusted depending on your treatment phase and skin tolerance.

Tips

  • A mild tingling, warmth, redness or peeling sensation is common, particularly during the first few weeks of use.
  • Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin.
  • Wash your hands after application and avoid contact with the eyes and lips.
  • If irritation becomes severe or persistent, reduce the frequency of use and consult your treating practitioner.
