3 Ways to Manage Split Ends

    • 2 min read

Split ends are annoying at any hair length. Straight, fine, curly, short, natural, long… every type of hair will have this issue at some stage. Ultimately, the only way to remove split ends is to trim the ends. With that said, you can prevent ends from splitting with a few simple steps.

    Managing & Preventing Split Ends

Some of the ways that you can manage and prevent split ends include the following:

    1/ Go for regular trims.

Regular trims are the best way to avoid ends from splitting, keeping your hair healthy and neat. You don’t have to go for major hair cuts (not unless you want to, anyway). But try and trim your ends every few months to avoid the ends from getting ratty.

    2/ Dry carefully.

You may be surprised to know that there is a right and wrong way to towel dry your hair. When you’re in a rush, it’s easy to try and dry your hair as quickly as you can, even if it means being a little too thorough. Rather than rigorously drying, try to squeeze your hair with the towel to avoid friction. This will help to avoid damage to the hair while it is wet while reducing frizz as well.

    3/ Use a serum.

One of our go-to brands for beautiful hair is Kérastase. This hair care brand offers a selection of ranges for all hair types and conditions. Within each range, you will find deeply hydrating serums, mask and treatments. Choose one that is best suited to your hair type and condition, and apply it at least once a week to keep your hair hydrated from root to tip. Using pre-styling treatments before applying heat to your hair is also advised.
