That does not make the best base for makeup. You will likely be hot and sweaty. Unless you have time to wash your face, go through your moisturiser and serum routine then wait for your skin to cool, you will want to start without any sweat. Doing hair first ensures that you can add foundation, concealer, mascara and other products without any risk of anything running or melting. It will also reduce the chance of clogged pores that can trigger breakouts. Plus, your makeup will be perfect and fresh.
Do makeup first…
There are a few times that you will want to do makeup first. If you’re going with second-day hair and you don’t need to style it, you can focus on makeup instead. The same applies to any styles that don’t require any heating or major effort. For updos, natural styles that simply need a bit of mousse or a quickspray and those days where you’re pressed for time and simply want to throw your hair into a quick bun, you can do your makeup first. You can also opt to do makeup first if you’re worried about messing up more complex styles.
